Dr. James Barnett, Jr. was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD. A 1995 O'Gorman High School graduate, he completed his undergraduate studies in biology and chemistry at the University of South Dakota and his doctoral degree at the Inter American University School of Optometry.
In addition to his position at the Barnett Vision Clinic, Dr. Barnett is a major in the US Air Force Reserve and Chief of Optometry for the 934th Air Wing in Minneapolis, MN. Professional affiliations include the American Optometric Association, the AOA Contact Lens and Cornea Section and the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States. Dr. Barnett's professional interests include binocular vision and ocular pathology.
Dr. Barnett enjoys spending his free time outdoors, flying, attending sporting events, spending time with his wife Tina, and two children Jameson and Brenna.
